CREATE AN AD PROCESS




1) CALL THE ASSIGNED CONTACT PERSON ON YOUR ENTRY FORM. IF THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE, PLEASE LEAVE THEM A MESSAGE.
IT MAY BE HELPFUL TO WRITE DOWN A FEW QUESTIONS BEFORE CALLING. THE TOP PRIORITY WOULD BE TO FIND OUT IF THEY ARE LOOKING FOR ANY SPECIFICS IN THEIR AD. THEY MAVE HAVE AN ITEM OR EVENT THAT THEY WOULD LIKE YOU TO FOCUS ON.

2) BEGIN THUMBNAIL SKETCHES. COME UP WITH A VARIETY OF APPROACHES. DO NOT CREATE ONE SKETCH AND SETTLE ON THAT. DEVELOPMENT OF THE IDEA IS CRUCIAL. INCORPORATE SOME KIND OF A BORDER INTO YOUR DESIGN.

3) PAY ATTENTION TO THE DIRECTIONS ON YOUR AD. MANY OF THEM MUST BE ORIENTED A SPECIFIC WAY AND THERE SHOULD BE NO SIGNITURES ON THE ARTWORK.

4) LOOK AT VARIOUS FONTS TO DECIDE HOW YOU WANT YOUR TEXT TO LOOK. IF YOUR BUSINESS HAS A LOGO THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DUPLICATE, IT IS FINE TO TRACE IT. WE CAN USE THE PHOTOCOPIERS TO ENLARGE/REDUCE SIZE AND THEN USE THE LIGHT TABLE TO TRANSFER IT TO THE FINISHED ART.

5) FIND THE NECESSARY REFERENCES FOR YOUR IDEA EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW WHAT THE ITEMS LOOKS LIKE.

6) ONCE THE PENCIL ART IS COMPLETE, PLEASE SHOW IT TO MR. PURCELL FOR APPROVAL BEFORE BEGINNING INK.

7) IN THE INK PHASE PLEASE REMEMBER THAT OUR GOAL IS TO POLISH THE PENCIL ART AND MAKE ALL OF THE LINEWEIGHTS AND TEXTURES LOOK DELIBERATE AND REFINED.

8) FINALLY, HAVE FUN AND KEEP IN MIND THE QUALITIES THAT YOU ENJOY IN AN AD. REMEMBER THAT HUMOR IS A POWERFUL DEVICE IN MOST CASES!
