2010 JUNIOR DUCK STAMP CONTEST

DUE FRIDAY MARCH 12TH WITH COMPLETED AND SIGNED ENTRY FORM!
the junior duck stamp will be a 9 x 12 acrylic painting. The image must be hoizontal in orientation and have no actual text painted on it. (leave space with no major details in a corner so text could later be palced there.

Think about ways to make your piece stand out in the crowd. Perhaps include more than one duck or choose a sunset/sunrise as opposed to a plain blue sky.
all reference must be documented as part of the entry form along with a short written statement. (yes, short)
follow this link to see examples: http://www.fws.gov/juniorduck/

WE WILL BEGIN BY ASSEMBLING REFERENCE FOR BOTH THE DUCK(S) AND AN ENVIRONEMNT THAT THEY WOULD ACTUALLY INHABIT.

CREATE AT LEAST THREE DIFFERENT THUMBNAIL SKETCHES

ONCE WE HAVE AGREED ON ONE, MOVE ON TO A 9 X 12 FINISH (LONG SIDE OF THE IMAGE MUST RUN HORIZONTAL)

REMEMBER: DO NOT INCLUDE ANY IMPORTANT DETAILS IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER SO THAT THE PRICE OF THE STAMP COULD EXIST IN THE CORNER WITHOUT OBSTRUCTING ANY CRUCIAL DETAILS.

WORK HARD AND HAVE FUN!
